From the beginning of the project (early 2016), the idea was, “How do we propose something original, unique, and of high quality in our wonderful hills?”
So we were immediately passionate about searching for the best our excellent territory has to offer!
The goal has always been to create an exciting product for Italians and foreigners who want to spend a few hours or an entire vacation in the Langhe (and Roero or Monferrato)!
Our research continues and allows us daily to grow and know new “goodies” to propose to our friends.
However, the world of a travel agency can be vast: you get stimuli and requests from everywhere, and sometimes you can get a little confused.
Clients/friends ask you all sorts of questions:
- “But to go to Rome, should I take the train or the plane?”
- “Is it true that there is no direct flight to Buenos Aires from Milan?”
- “Do you pre-sell tickets for the Vasco concert?”
- “But do you take trips to Gardaland?”
- “Can you find me an all-inclusive resort in Sardinia to spend cheaply?”
…and there you were, trying to get an intelligent look by answering, “I’ll look into it and let you know.” Or explaining, “But I am more experienced in picnics in the Langa, or I can arrange a nice winery tasting with lunch in a typical osteria…..”
And you are sorry to see the disappointed look on your interlocutor’s face! Whatever, I mean, to each his field, right? It seems fairer that way to me!
One request, however, hit the nail on the head: “But why don’t you organize some nice outings?” I think about it those 10 minutes and jump in, “But yeah, come on, why not? It doesn’t have to be that hard!”
So we start proposing based on what we like. Then, being perfectionists bordering on the paranoid, we specialize in “our way” of “doing outings.”
Which then this term “outings” is not that we like so much, let’s call them “travel experiences,” okay?
So let’s start hunting for “experiences”!
And at this point, a world of opportunities, beautiful things, interesting people, and exciting experiences opens up to us… challenging to select, shape, line up…In 2017 we proposed quite a few, and little by little, we tried to define the Slowdays style.
We want to list the ten good reasons to choose us!

1 – These are not trips made just for the sake of it; they are accurate plans, studied in detail to make everything very pleasant and create a relaxed atmosphere.
2 – Slowdays means “slow days,” so with us, we don’t rush: we study the programs, so we don’t have to run, so we don’t hurry! Experiences need their own time to get to the heart!
3 – We want to add value: if we have to take you to a place, maybe you can go there on your own, and what are we doing there?
4 – With us, even the most well-known places you may have already visited, you can see with different eyes: it is one thing to walk through a small town; it is another to meet the people who live there and have them tell you about it!

5 – We ALWAYS use “regular” professionals (tour guides, nature guides, mountain guides): we know very well how much effort it costs to comply in this country, and we do not want in any way to favor a system that we do not like, made up of abusiveness, few rules and no customer protection (excuse the sermon, but sometimes you have to dot the “I’s”).
6 – Guides are selected based on competence and sympathy: after all, we are on the road and crave smiles and stories told and told.
7 – Guides are also as local as possible: this is an excellent help to make the experience worth it! In Genoa, one must be able to ask the guide even for the pesto recipe, and in Turin, where one gets the best “Bicerin,” not like tourists! A Langhe tour operator must know and love all of Piedmont.

10 – We are small, so we cannot build a calendar of events and experiences in advance….but, in the end, we like it that way! We also want to go by inspiration of the moment: if it’s snowing, we feel like “snowshoeing,” if it’s spring, we go on the hunt for colorful flowers; if a friend tells us about a particular place, we feel like proposing it as soon as possible and not at the following programming! The more requests you make to us, the better!

For the flight to Buenos Aires or the village in Sardinia, we’ll pass for now; in the future, who knows!
